This year we celebrate our 29th Annual Labor Day Sale to Benefit our Local Schools. Each year, we dedicate a portion of the proceeds from our entire Labor Day Sale and donate needed items to our local schools.
In recent interviews, we visited with a few local educators to let them tell you what they think about this annual event:
Larry Bergeson
Superintendent – Washington County School District
“The Boulevard’s ‘Labor Day Sale’ isn’t so much a ‘sale’ for us as it is a giveaway for the Boulevard with benefits that come to the school. We love it! It’s ‘Christmas comes early’ to the school district!
“The Boulevard has been so generous, so supportive, so positive over this period of time. The partnership with the benefits that come to us as a school district has been immeasurable–and it fits what we call “The Spirit of Dixie!” Because everybody works cooperatively to benefit each other in our community, like no place else in Utah!
“So, we’re excited about the partnership. It’s just one of those things that allow us to do our job more efficiently and more effectively here in Washington County. And we are positive that it has a direct impact in the community as well because we produce a better student that can go on
to postsecondary education and eventually gain full employment and become responsible, contributing, and caring citizens here in Washington County.”
Warren Brooks
Principal – Snow Canyon High School
“With the extra funds we get from Boulevard Home Furnishings we purchase electronics and other items from Boulevard, which frees up our school funds to purchase more books and other things we need to spend that money on. It’s been a huge benefit for us.”
Rod Broadhead
Principal – Sandstone Elementary School
“The Boulevard’s Labor Day Sale is a great thing because a portion of the sales goes directly into the classrooms which help every kid in our school district.”

Kayln Gubler
Principal – Lava Ridge Intermediate School
“Boulevard has been a real benefit for our school. We have been able to get cameras, speakers, TV monitors and other resources. We use the equipment and supplies we have gotten from the Boulevard immensely. We thank Boulevard for everything they have contributed to our school.”
