Enjoy National Eat Outside Day with this Awesome Recipe and a Jenn-Air Grill

Who doesn’t love a good kabob?

The answer to that question should be a unanimous “no one.” A kabob is the perfect meal to make for friends and family because it can be easily modified to fit anyone’s preference. If you or one of your guests is a vegetarian, take off the meat and substitute with mushrooms, eggplant, or tofu. If they can’t stand warm pineapple, remove it from the kabob. Simple as that. It’s easy to make, and even easier to eat – which is obviously a priority.

If you’re looking to spice up your kabob grilling skills this summer, use a Jenn-Air Luxury Grill to get the best results. With the perfect grill, this Honey Chicken Kabob recipe will bring tears to your eyes. It’s probably the onions, but we know the taste could be a factor.

Ingredients:

• ¼ cup vegetable oil

• 1/3 cup honey

• 1/3 cup soy sauce

• ¼ tsp ground black pepper

• 8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – cut into 1-inch cubes

• 2 cloves garlic

• 5 small onions

• 2 red bell peppers cut into 2-inch pieces

• Skewers

Marinate The Medley

Grab a large bowl and whisk the oil, honey, soy sauce, and pepper together. Be sure to set aside a little bit of this marinade for lathering on the kabobs later. In the meantime, put your chicken, garlic, onions, and peppers in the bowl and let them soak in the refrigerator for two hours or more.

You may want to do this part the night before, just so it has more time to marinate. The longer it bathes in the sweet sauce, the better flavor your shish kabobs will have.

When your chicken is almost done marinating, preheat your Jenn-Air grill to high heat.

Skewer The Shish Kabob

Take your vegetables and chicken and thread them on as many skewers as you want. Make sure to not put too much of one thing on a single skewer and try to switch up it up by alternating the veggies and chicken.

Place them on your powerful Jenn-Air grill grate and let them cook about 15 minutes. As they cook, paint the marinade you put aside all over the skewered food, enhancing the overall taste of your upcoming meal!

Serve It Up!

After grilling your shish kabobs to perfection, it’s time to do the most important part – feast! Serve up yours with some white or jasmine rice and you’ll be officially the neighbor with the best BBQ around the block.
