Vegan and Natural
The Avocado Vegan Mattress does not use wool or animal by-products, so it's certified by Vegan Action and PETA-approved. Like our best-selling Green Mattress, it uses GOTS-certified organic cotton and GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex, made of ≥95% certified organic material, plus a world-class support system. The result is comfort, durable back support, and a cooler night’s sleep. With an exhaustive list of certifications for health and sustainability, a one-year sleep trial, and a 25-year limited warranty, our Vegan Mattress is organic sleep without compromises!
Certified Organic Latex
Instead of polyurethane foams, Avocado mattresses feature GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex (CU 863637) rubber foam from sustainably harvested from our facilities in India and Guatemala. Our new Box-Top plush model adds two layers of FSC-certified Talalay latex.
Made Without Wool
Our Avocado Vegan Mattress replaces the wool used in our Green Mattress with USDA organic certified cotton. No wool or animal-based products are used anywhere in our Vegan Mattress. Best of all, it still meets all federal flammability standards.
Vegan Certified
Vegan Action (the Vegan Awareness Foundation) in Richmond, Virginia, has certified our Vegan Mattress. It is also a PETA-approved product. That means our vegan mattresses are third-party validated not to contain wool or other animal products or byproducts that have been tested on animals. Instead of wool, we use a generous layer of USDA certified organic cotton batting.
Coil Gauge
There are 3 wire gauges used: 15 gauge (narrow diameter) perimeter coils in the reinforced sides and the header/footer zones; 14 gauge (a slightly more narrow diameter) coils through the center one-third section; and 16 gauge (larger diameter) coils on both sides of the center section (the same in the shoulder and hip areas, since our mattress is designed to be rotated regularly).

The secret to our superior ergonomic support and durability is our best-in-class innerspring unit, a patent-pending design we make ourselves features up to 1,459 encased support coils arranged in 7 zones.
