Signal Restoration

In the pursuit to get the best sound possible from your stereo system that features both factory and aftermarket gear, KEYLOC’s patent-pending KEY™ algorithm automatically detects and analyzes crossovers, EQ, time delay, and all-pass filters present, and then it will level-match the left and right audio channels. Once analyzed, it corrects these various filters to give you the smoothest frequency response possible, giving you a clean, uncolored audio signal for your aftermarket gear.

Hear It Yourself

To hear what you’ve done, cycle the EQ correction on and off with a single push of the KEYLOC’s “KEY” button – hear the before and after! Additionally, if KEYLOC detects any all-pass filters or factory time delay, you can choose to defeat the correction (from the menu) and keep the imaging of the factory source unit. By keeping the correction filter active, KEYLOC will counteract either of these factory effects so you can use an external audio processor to dial in a one-seat tune for the ultimate sound experience.

It's Fit

Using KICKER’s FIT 2+™ (Fail-safe Integration Technology), KEYLOC has the most versatile input sensitivity in the car-audio aftermarket. Ranging from 125 mV-10V (low level) with 60-Ohm smart load, or 1V-40V (high level), KEYLOC is prepared to work with nearly every vehicle on the road today.

DC offset remote input turn-on, and remote output turn-on (100mA) to turn on other products

Smooths frequency response of two channels from your source unit via EQ correction; it can fix EQs with Qs ranging from 0.5-10 with up to +/- of 12dB of boost or cut

Factory Time Delay Defeat: Ranging from .06mS – 10mS, the algorithm is accurate down to .06mS

The KEYLOC can correct up to three all-pass filters on one channel.

All-pass filters can have a Q ranging from 0.5–3.5, as long as they do not interact with the other All-Pass filter’s phase

Before running the KEYLOC setup process, it is in passive frequency detection mode (detects what band of frequencies are available on the given speaker outputs)

Speaker inputs are capable of receiving either HI or LO level signals from your source unit

In 1973, KICKER's Livin' Loud legacy began as a two-man operation, hand-building professional-speaker systems in a narrow one-car garage. With very few resources and an intense love for music, company founder and current president Steve Irby invented the mobile-stereo enclosure market from his Stillwater, Oklahoma community, when he developed the Original KICKER. It was the first full frequency-range speaker box designed specifically for cars and trucks. From that historic moment, delivering concert-like audio quality across a wide volume range with renowned bass and accurate sound has always been the KICKER way.
